I am very excited to be offering the SFA Broadway Summer camp this year as we present:

Below is some information about the program, as well as a downloadable brochure/registration form.
After 5 years of exciting youth theatre at St. Francis of Assisi School in Oakville, SFA Broadway is proud to announce its first summer program!

WHO
Any 6th through 12th grade students interested in getting either on-stage or back-stage experience
WHAT
This two week camp will be an intense theatrical experience, covering the entire production process from auditions to performance.
All students who sign up for cast will be in the show, and have an opportunity to audition for the leads on the first day of camp. Aside from learning their songs, lines, and choreography, students will work on vocal techniques, acting skills, and building stage presence.
All students who sign up for crew will spend their time learning how a set goes from design to reality. In addition to working on developing their own artistic designs, they will get hands on experience putting the set, scenery and lights together. During the performances, the crew will be backstage to make sure the show runs smoothly!
All students at the camp will participate in group activities as well as a field trip to Six Flags!!

All SFA Broadway Summer Camp rehearsals, performances, and activities will be held at:

WHEN
Camp will be held the second two weeks of July, beginning on July 14th.

Camp times:
Mon July 14th - Fri July 18th: 8am to 3pm
Mon July 22nd - Thu July 24th: 8am to 3pm
Fri July 25th: 8am to 9pm
Sat July 26th: 5:30pm to 9pm
Sun July 27th: 12:30pm to 5pm
Special Dates:
Mon July 14th: First Day of Camp; Auditions
Fri July 18th: Six Flags Field Trip
Fri July 25th: Final Rehearsal; 7:00pm show
Sat July 26th: 7:00pm show
Sun July 27th: 2:00pm show

COST
For participation in the SFA Broadway Summer Camp Program, there is a fee of $150. This fee includes camp tuition, camp t-shirt, show memorabilia packet, and field trip cost. Please submit a check with your registration payable to:
St. Francis of Assisi School
(please write SFA Broadway Summer Camp on the memo line)
Other information that might be good to know!
Costs and Fees:
All procedes from SFA Broadway Summer Camp go to running the camp. Any overage in funds will go toward: SFA Broadway's school-year show, St. Francis of Assisi's Fine Arts Program, or St. Francis of Assis Church and School.
Refunds:
Refunds will be given on the following basis:
- If you withdraw before July 1st, a full refund (minus $10 processing fee) will be given.
- If you withdraw before the first day of camp (July 14th), a 75% refund will be given.
- If you withdraw during the first week of camp, a 50% refund will be given.
- No refunds will be given to anyone withdrawing after the first week of camp.
$150 camp fee does NOT include
- Lunches (however, lunch will be provided on the July 18th field trip...and dinner will be provided between rehearsal and the performance on Jly 26th).
- Photo CDs
- DVDs
- Some costume pieces which may need to be provided by individual participants.
Supervision
Students will be constantly involved in either rehearsal or improving theatre skills. In general, there will be an 8-10 students per every adult ratio of supervision at all times during the extent of the camp.
All camp supervisors will have been throught the Archdiocesan "Protecting God's Children" program.
Program Director
Mr. Nick Moramarco is a theatre progessional in St. Louis. He has been directing theatre for young people for over 5 years in a variety of settings, including:
St. George Catholic Church and School
St. John the Baptist High School
St. Francis of Assisi Church and School
The St. Louis Jewish Community Center
Kirkwood-Crestwood Community Theatre
and other companies here and there.
Mr. Nick also works extensively with the St. Louis Actors' Studio and the St. Louis Shakespeare Company.
He is pleased to be running this camp, and hopes that you will come join in the fun!!!
